lowercase-mac: The new ltsp.conf expects mac addresses in lowercase. Here's a command to convert them: sed -E 's/([[:xdigit:]]{1,2}:){5}[[:xdigit:]]{1,2}/\L&/' -i ltsp.conf

Hello all. I've open a discussion in github related to boot a certain board (Rockpi 4C+) I have made significative (I thnk so) progress so I wanted to share it with you and also ask for advice. Thanks a lot.

Hi, curious what the current situation with snap is? Are there still issues with wasted ram on clients or any of the other reasons it was recommended to be removed?
13:30
(The snap build of vlc contains RTSP support, while the upstream debian package is built without it)
13:31
and the alternative PPA I was using has... done some weird things and isn't installable anymore :D
13:58
<alkisg>
antares_gades: thanks for the progress update; unfortunately, personally I'm too busy this period to be of any help...
14:00
muhwalt: the wasted ram issue wasn't specific to LTSP; I think they resolved that a few months after I reported it. They may still have some issues with "home over nfs or sshfs", I haven't checked.
14:00
But I think enough people use snaps with LTSP, so it should be working...

I'm trying to figure if using snap or building vlc manually is worse ;)

I use snap with Ubuntu 20.04 just fine. It's a space hog though
14:40
Any issues I notice with snaps are not LTSP related
14:41
I run my home over NFS btw
