I'm implementing `ltsp remoteapps`. What verb sounds more appropriate, "ltsp remoteapps --install users-admin", that installs a wrapper in /usr/local/bin/user-admin so that it's run remotely, or "ltsp remoteapps --register users-admin"?

Is our openldap config from our old LTSP5 server likely to work on a new LTSP / Ubuntu 20.04 install or would he have to switch to sssd-ldap?

10:45
I have noticed that sssd only supports LDAPS and not regular unenrypted LDAP

10:51
I don't think we have LDAPS configured yet so will we be OK using regular LDAP with the latest LTSP?
10:52
<alkisg>
danboid: ldap is a complicated beast, the easiest answer would be "try it in a test installation"
10:53
If you make authentication work, then ltsp will happily accept it and just mount home with sshfs

<AlejandroQuinter>
hi, i'm trying to create an image from a virtual machine in virtual box. I created it with a fixed size and type VMDK, when executing
19:43
sudo ltsp image lubuntu2004.vmdk
19:43
I get this error
19:43
LTSP command failed: blkid -po export lubuntu2004.vmdk
19:43
Aborting ltsp
19:43
I don't know how to mount lubuntu2004.vmdk
19:43
thanks
19:43
<alkisg>
Alejandro Quintero: what is the output of `sudo fdisk -l lubujntu2004.vmdk`?
19:44
Or, file lubuntu2004.vmdk
19:45
The easiest way is a fixed size (vmdk) with an mbr partition table and a single ext4 partition
19:46
<AlejandroQuinter>
is the disk of the virtual maquine lubuntu2004.vmdk
