<Guest11144>
Hi Alkisg
07:49
I'm rather going to try get the UEFI PXE booting
07:49
than wait for Xorg to fix
07:49
<alkisg>
Guest11144: whatever you like, but maybe xorg is already fixed and you don't know it
07:49
<Guest11144>
We have tried latest xorg
07:49
<alkisg>
You don't know the issue
07:49
Do you have a bug report number?
07:49
<Guest11144>
the strange thing is that when you plug an external display in, it works fine
07:49
just the main screen
07:49
I have yet to report it
07:49
<alkisg>
It might already be reported
07:49
And fixed
07:49
And maybe not released in your distro, or it -proposed, etc etc
07:49
Or it may have one-line workarounds
07:49
But anyway, whatever you feel like

<fiesh>
alkisg: ok, I'm back... lpq lists the printer, but lpstat -a doesn't list anything
12:29
ok I think I found the problem, it's listening on the wrong network device
12:29
Connection:socket://192.168.178.131
12:29
which is strange, I haven't changed anything and it switched... maybe it selects an NIC by some voodoo magic
12:38
ah no, that's correct, it's the printers ip address
12:40
lpstat -t on the server lists the printer as the default connection, on the client it says there is no default
12:42
when I add a print class, it appears on the client, but the printer is still missing in it
12:47
ok, it seems re-adding the printer solved it for now... I hope it stays this way

I moved all our fax to phaxio, it's wonderful. little email to fax scripting magic with a wildcard alias and it's pretty seamless with MFPs
