alkisg I'll be in front of my pc in 35 minutes time, will you still be here? I'm setting up ltsp on 20.04, but there should be something wrong since clients boot IPXE but, AFAIR, seems after a message about initram or kernel OK, can't find /ltsp/ltsp.img or something like that
19:14
<alkisg>
markit: i'm a bit afk; did you run `ltsp initrd` ?
19:15
<markit>
no, thought was optional and for some "advanced use", maybe I misunderstood the documentation or just skipped a paragraph, I'll have a look
19:16
<alkisg>
!install
19:16
<ltspbot`>
install: To install LTSP: https://ltsp.org/docs/installation/
19:17
<markit>
oh, I've red "LTSP5 " there and did not red the paragraph, thinking was explaining some difference with the past, my foult, thanks
19:17
<alkisg>
np

<markit>
btw, "ltsp nfs" is optional? Needed? Replaces "don't remember older way to do it" or is just an optional different way? Advantages? (if you are not afk at the moment, otherwise NEVER MIND I will try with a snapshot of the VM and we can talk about it another day)
19:24
NBD
19:26
<alkisg>
markit, just follow the installation page to the letter
19:26
all steps there are necessary
19:26
<markit>
I see, thanks a lot
19:39
<alkisg>
nfs is the default now, because it's faster and more stable than nbd
19:39
e.g. you can even reboot the server and the clients will continue working

alkisg: worked fine, now I can boot clients! I've a "bug" about the documentation "man ltsp.conf", the explaination of "autologin" is after SDDM_CONF option and not after AUTOLOGIN option
21:31
btw, I'm in kubuntu 20.04, greek ppa, and wondering why ltsp packages are taken from kubuntu repo and not from geek one (Ubuntu *** 19.12.1-1 500 while ppa 19.12-1+201912151738~ubuntu20.04.1 500)
