<nikoh77>
alkisg: hi, from i switched to fatclient chrome-browser don't start anymore....
12:05
with filrefox no problem
12:08
i never use ltsp-build-client because i am in chrootless environment, maybe this is necessary?

12:17adrianorg has left IRC (adrianorg!~adrianorg@186.213.155.48, Ping timeout: 272 seconds)
12:53
<alkisg>
nikoh77: did you set SSH_FOLLOW_SYMLINKS?
12:53
Chrootless is fine, don't run ltsp-build-client
12:54
Run getltscfg -a on a client and pastebin the result, or pastebin your lts.conf
13:04
<nikoh77>
alkisg: SSH_FOLLOW_SYMLINKS yes, i need it, i have a shared folder in /home/user/sharedfolder
13:06
"/home/user/sharedfolder"
13:06
"/home/userA/sharedfolder"
13:07
and "/home/userB/symlinktosharedfolderofuserA"
13:08
i need to move shared folder out /home/userA like /home?
13:15
<alkisg>
nikoh77: chrome doesn't work because of SSH_FOLLOW_SYMLINKS, yes
13:16
That's why by default it's disabled for /home/username and enabled for the extra links
13:16
You can have a symlink from /home/username/sharedfolder to /home/sharedfolder, and put /home/sharedfolder to extramounts
13:16
<nikoh77>
ok, i try ;-)

<nikoh77>
alkisg: i must to keep my symlink from /home/userA/symlink and /home/userB/symlink to /home/sharedfolder right?
16:04
<alkisg>
Users can see /home/sharedfolder whether you have the link or not
16:04
If you put the link, it's to make it easier for them to navigate

any suggestion for some fat compact clients? I've found some but have HD and M$OS tax. I need compact size, decent CPU, (K)ubuntu 18.04 compatible, >= 4GB ram

21:00
actually, virtualization server, on which LTSP and other things were running ... but that was a few years ago
