alkisg: actually, we simple don't remove those wiki docs...
09:37
etch is really really dead.
09:38
<alkisg>
sunweaver: of course; I meant that these people are working on this project for a long time; I didn't mean that the docs should be up to date
09:38
I was admiring your dedication :)
09:39
<sunweaver>
yeah, most of us have been around for many years now.
09:39
esp. Wolfgang Schweer did some really heavy lifting over the past years.

Hello. First post here. I am trying to find a guide to configuring local resources with LTSP clients - like bluetooth, printers, scanners, etc. and I can't seem to find any resources on the website. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I have piserver running as a test, but I would ultimately like to implement a 5 client small LTSP system in my office using iPC's. Thanks.

<alkisg>
padikiller: ltsp clients run the OS locally, so all resources are configured locally without doing anything special
18:48
So they'll see bluetooth, printers, scanners etc automatically
18:49
<padikiller[m]>
Thanks. Can they share printers with others?
18:49
<alkisg>
Yes

Playing with piserver, local resources don't work. I used bind to mount the server cups installation to the chroot, but the results are spotty - some apps see the printers and some don't
18:50
This is why I am considering ltsp

<alkisg>
You can read https://ltsp.org/man/ltsp.conf/, the CUPS_SERVER parameter. By default, all server printers are shared from the server. By setting CUPS_SERVER=localhost, each one will share their own printer
