"(12:12:11 PM) alkisg: In ltsp.conf, under [clients], put this line:
07:37
(12:12:11 PM) alkisg: MASK_SYSTEM_SERVICES="connman"" Client works with this.
07:39
<alkisg>
Nice
07:44
<AppleMuncy>
Nice but why does it work?
07:45
Thanks, by the way!
07:49
<alkisg>
Because ltsp handles networking on the clients, we don't want connman to interrupt the client <=> server connection because then the network disk is inaccessible and the OS hangs
07:54
<AppleMuncy>
OK. Nowadays I don't look under the hood as long as it runs.

Heya vagrant! :)
17:16* alkisg liked the resolution about non-free firmware, I think it'll make it even easier for schools to use debian...
17:19
<vagrantc>
i was torn between unrealistic fantasy and demotivating pragmatism ... but i am glad some people are happywith it :)

The ubuntu mate developer also announced that he worked very hard to drop the .diff so that people will have similar experience in either distribution

<AppleMuncy>
In our local makerspace I run LTSP server that supports a number of laptops set up on docking stations.
23:02
I've been ask if it's doable to switch the network to run over WIFI after boot and login?
23:02
Seems like it might work but have others done this?
