Hi guys, i would like to ask a doub I have: I already have a dhcp and ltsp server (in gentoo) for some workstations. Now i've installed a new server with Xubuntu and LTSP and i want to know how i can configure dnsmasq to tell just some thin clients to use this new LTSP
17:35
<mgariepy>
vagrantc, no thought on that.
17:36
<vagrantc>
[GuS]: look at the dhcp-host option in the dnsmasq manpage
17:36
<[GuS]>
vagrantc: ok, thanks. I will look at it
17:38
<vagrantc>
[GuS]: set a tag with that and then use dhcp-option to specify a different server
17:39
<[GuS]>
vagrantc: I was reading that aboout it "The set:<tag>..." :) Thanks
17:39
<vagrantc>
[GuS]: dhcp-mac seems promising
17:39
<[GuS]>
lets see
17:44
vagrantc: if I understood, this is a correct definition for a dhcp-host in this case? dhcp-host=90:e6:ba:ca:94:74,ws-majo,set:LTSP-Missiones,192.168.1.26
17:45
<vagrantc>
haven't worked with more complicated configurations in a while...
17:45
<[GuS]>
vagrantc: oks, sorry.
17:46
<vagrantc>
[GuS]: close enough to experiment with, for sure :)
17:48
<[GuS]>

I do have a question about starting the kiosk browser fullscreen with devilspie. I've tried adding KIOSK_OPTIONS="--start-maximized" and messed with devilspie configs, still, chromium comes up filling only half the screen. Firefox is even smaller.

vagrantc: ubuntu 14.04.01 LTS
22:59
not dual-headed. Verified in /var/log/Xorg.7.log that X correctly detects 1920x1080, also as evidenced by the shell screen taking up the full window
23:00
based on this link it looks like it may be better to just install a WM: http://superuser.com/questions/538367/fullscreen-xinit-raspberry-pi
23:00
so I just now installed metacity and i'm rebuilding the nbd.
23:02gbaman has left IRC (gbaman!~gbaman@89.185.154.123, Ping timeout: 272 seconds)

<ternarybit>
based on some research it looks like chrom(e|ium) has trouble going fullscreen without a wm
23:07
ltsp-info: http://pastebin.com/78AktTqc
23:07
again, only working with the i386 chroot
23:08
<vagrantc>
ternarybit: yeah you do want to install a wm, metacity is the default one
23:09
<ternarybit>
from the looks of the screen.d/kiosk, it automatically calls /usr/bin/metacity if it exists
23:09* vagrantc wonders when ubuntu's next release is
23:09
<vagrantc>
ternarybit: yeah
23:11
<ternarybit>
...and metacity for the win. fullscreen chromium, just like that.

23:46
might you explain?

it may set up pulseaudio and take over the sound card, without configuring it in your kiosk session
