Hello! Who can help clarify one question. Until today, I created an LTSP server through "ltsp image /". The shared folders were /home/user on the server. Having recreated the server now, only folders inside the image are used. Why is there such a difference with the same actions?
13:04
My assumption was changed by the LTSP developers. Didn't notice the difference
13:26
<alkisg>
No, it wasn't changed
13:27
home is still outside the image, via sshfs or nfs
13:39
eu^19414774127: if you login to the client and you don't see /home, that means that your sshfs connection was terminated
13:41
Try Alt+Ctrl+F2 to switch to vt2, then loging from there, and check if you see any errors
13:52
<eu^19414774127>
I see no Home and now and have seen it before, only before the home folder was shared both on the server and on the client. Now the server has its own home folder, and the client has its own.

Hi, I have a question please. Is there any sense to run LTSP in a docker container?
14:17
alkisg
14:19
<eu^19414774127>
alkisg Thanks I will try with nfs

Heya vagrantc, highvoltage, "winter^Hfreeze is coming"? Until when can we upload a last ltsp version?
16:03
<vagrantc>
long answer: https://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2020/03/msg00002.html
16:03* vagrantc digs for the short answer
16:05
<vagrantc>
a bit better summary ... https://release.debian.org/bullseye/freeze_policy.html
16:06
alkisg: i'd say we want to upload it early january
16:07
we might be able to get it in early february, but increases the risks of something going amiss

<vagrantc>
... in short, early january would be ideal, mid january is probably ok, very early feburary if we have to :)

<highvoltage>
great
16:50
<ogra>
bah, and i thought you guys are discussing next BTS
16:50
(but then read the full backlog)
16:54
<alkisg>
We should do one of these!
16:54
<ogra>
yeah, as soon as we can travel again
16:55
<vagrantc>
or we all go to the nearest sea and have a virtual meeting from our respective seas? :)
16:55
<ogra>
lol
16:56* vagrantc is doubtful of doing any traveling any time soon
16:56
<ogra>
yeah ... might still take months
16:56* vagrantc is thinking a larger unit of time
16:57
<ogra>
i guess next year around this time traveling should be possible again
16:57
probably earlier ... but i'm as optimistic as usual 🙂
16:57
<vagrantc>
i guess someone has to be optimistic
16:58
:)
16:59
<ogra>
heh, well, hope is all we got ... (and very clean kitchens)
17:00
<vagrantc>
i've substituted distracting projects as an alternative strategy
17:01
<ogra>
i'm inventing distracting projects ...
17:09
<highvoltage>
wow, vagrantc, ogra and alkisg all on one screen. it's like the good old days.
17:11
<ogra>
just jammcq and sbalneav are missing now ...
17:11
<vagrantc>
and gadi
17:11
<highvoltage>
and stgraber
17:11
<ogra>
oh, yeah
17:11
<vagrantc>
and and and...
