<ltspbot> "thin-client-deprecation: The new..." <- Hey,... (full message at https://libera.ems.host/_matrix/media/r0/download/libera.chat/8dc1f24cba56b541b33312685f7613195c927378)

Jonny, LDM_GUESTLOGIN was a mis-nomer, it was a normal user account, not a "guest" one
14:30
You can have as many of them as you like now, by providing the password/autologin directives in ltsp.conf
14:31
So the user can select "guest01" and type <enter> to login, without a password
14:31
If you're not using a real session, then I guess you don't need a display manager (greeter screen)
14:31
I.e. if you're only using xrdp
14:32
While if you want users to login as guest first, and then use xrdp, they can invoke it from the menus or from a desktop shortcut
14:33
<Jonny[m]>
alkisg: Which application handles than "inserting username and password" ?
14:33
Thanks for your tips on the "guest accounts"
14:33
<alkisg>
Check the ltsp.conf man page
14:33
You put these into ltsp.conf
14:33
And, they're handled by the display manager, lightdm, sddm, gdm etc
14:33
<Jonny[m]>
alkisg: thanks. I missed that
16:08
Sorry to bother again.... (full message at https://libera.ems.host/_matrix/media/r0/download/libera.chat/81a8ec9a41d22dd1fd5dd5b59a214e6c5520e5b2)

Hmm bot down?
16:15
Anyway, the man pages are at https://ltsp.org/man/ltsp.conf
16:15
A lot more readable than the upstream source of the man pages
16:15
If you want to "catch" the username / password, you either need a PAM module, or a greeter
16:16
There's also the arctica greeter which has a plugin for rdp, maybe you can use that one
