ABIX adam.jurkiewicz: not sure if its clear enough
13:04
<ABIXadamjurkiewi>
Yes ;-)
13:04
Make `sudo ltsp ipxe` and try again.
13:06
<alkisg>
Nah this client is broken it's somehow using the tftp server path instead of the bootfile path
13:06
Do you have an ipxe.iso cd or ipxe.usb stick to try to boot with that? Or, does that client have a hard disk?
13:08
Try to change this line in /etc/dnsmasq.d/ltsp-dnsmasq.conf: pxe-service=tag:proxy,tag:!ipxe,X86PC,"undionly.kpxe",ltsp/undionly.kpxe
13:08
Add a backslash so that it reads: pxe-service=tag:proxy,tag:!ipxe,X86PC,"undionly.kpxe",/ltsp/undionly.kpxe
13:08
Then run systemctl restart dnsmasq, and try to boot that client
13:09
You might also need a backslash there: dhcp-boot=tag:!ipxe,tag:X86PC,ltsp/undionly.kpxe
13:10
Finally, this dnsmasq option might help if you add it: dhcp-no-override

alkisg: but some cleints book ok , only this compaq pc . intel
13:14
<alkisg>
Yes, the problem is in the BIOS of these clients, and the workaround may be in dnsmasq.conf
13:14
<jannyboy[m]>
* . intel., * no harddrive . they were booting ok on the ubuntu 16.04 ,32 bit
13:15
👍️
13:15
<alkisg>
The problem was not the operating system but the DHCP/TFTP settings. Now they are changed and you need to apply the workarounds

13:16
<alkisg>
I.e. if you installed the new ltsp in 16.04, 32bit, it would still not work and it would need the workarounds there too. The isc-dhcp template of ltsp5 had the workarounds.

<jannyboy[m]>
I get you clear, thankx will come with solution once fixed
