What is the replacement for this:
00:15
On the Terminal Server build the chroot by issuing ltsp-build-client --arch=i386
00:15
on the latest LTSP version?

Is the new https://ltsp.org site better or worse than the previous one?
07:24
I migrated from just-the-docs to mkdocs as it's more actively maintained and supports admonitions, image alignment, content tabs and a lot more
07:25
<quinox>
I don't know how it compares, but it looks fine
07:25
The man pages subsections are broken, they all say "None" and 404
07:25
<alkisg>
Oh thanks, let me fix that

Derp that's silly. If I run the publishing command locally, `mkdocs gh-pages --force`, it works. While when github runs it, it puts the man dir in the wrong place and without converting from markdown to html

would you be intereste in some CI, and if yes any preference for the platform (CircleCI, Travis)?
12:41
starting out simple: shell check on bash scripts, PEP8 / Black checker on Python files etc.
12:48
a test run of debuild perhaps (or whatever is used to build pkg from that debian folder)

(I love Cont. Integration, I haven't embraced Cont. Deployment yet: feels too magical, I'm afraid developers will stop realizing what happens underwater leading to dangerous situations)

I fell in love with Black: *obviously* I'm better and laying out clean code than any tool, but Black is better than my co-workers, and the consistency of a Blacked project is a bigger boon than my aesthetically pleasing art pieces
15:15
<alkisg>
I'd love to learn about these. In January I'll start testing Ubuntu MATE 22.04 and updating/releasing new LTSP versions in time for it
15:15
If you don't mind, I'll ping you then about some of these, as I always wanted to read about them, but they're still in my long todo list :D
15:16
I only used my first ci.yml on github yesterday for the mkdocs deployment of ltsp.org, before that, I haven't even seen any ci actions

<quinox>
sure thing, hit me up whenever
15:34
The biggest hurdle with CI is to get people to care: if nobody within an org thinks CI is useful it's doomed to fail
15:42
I've seen developers disable a perfectly fine CI setup I set up for them because they found the build errors to be annoying, ha
15:46
only to hire me with urgency right before a deadline is supposed to be met to resolve said prolem they ignored for months
15:47
(most CI I set up is actively used and built upon by the customers, luckily)
