<professor_>
I wonder when you can develop epoptes to be run in Windows environment?
00:01
<razielle_tzu>
none of the developers are working on it, someone else could though
00:02
http://www.epoptes.org/documentation/windows-client
00:03
<professor_>
I also want to ask, when falls the network where computers are interconnected, they disappear from my Epoptes screen?
00:04
To solve the above problem is to restart the service on the same server computer?
00:05
<razielle_tzu>
i'm not sure, someone who knows more might be around soon if you're willing to hang around for a whiel
00:05
*while
00:08
<professor_>
you could not point me a site that would help me on this?
00:09
<razielle_tzu>
not really, i don't use ltsp-pnp and epoptes, i use the chroot installation of ltsp

Good day. Is it possible to use LTSP to run a fat client at a remote location over a VPN ?
05:22
the docs I've read only mention LANs

Hi dude42_
05:42
What is the VPN bandwidth?
05:42
Is it e.g. 100 mbps?
05:42
<dude42_>
hi alkisg, I think it would be a normal home internet connection.
05:43
<alkisg>
Well then it's nowhere near enough for disk access
05:43
Opening e.g. libreoffice needs 120 MB
05:43
How long will that take in your line?
05:43
You might want to look at x2go instead
05:43
!x2g0
05:43
<ltsp>
I do not know about 'x2g0', but I do know about these similar topics: 'x2go'
05:43
<alkisg>
!x2go
05:43
<ltsp>
x2go: x2go is an NX-based suite of applications that allow logging in to a remote X server from any OS. It's much more efficient than VNC over slow network. More info: http://www.x2go.org/

<dude42_>
ok thanks

sbalneav: Hello! http://manpages.ubuntu.com/pam_exec supports expose_authtok, which means that I could write a shell script that would read the username and password that the user entered in e.g. lightdm.
20:01
With that info, I could ssh to the server, indicate success or failure, fetch the user info and update passwd/group with that, etc etc.
20:01
...I wonder, is pam_exec enough to do all that? Can it (along with a shell script) replace libpam_sshauth?
