<eu^95067101>
Hello
08:45
I installed ltsp on Ubuntu 20.04 machine (chrootless install). My question is if the client machine uses its own hardware resources or the server's.
08:45
<alkisg>
It's using its own hardware resources, except for the disk, where it's using the server disk via NFS/SSHFS
08:46
<eu^95067101>
Thanks
08:47
Is there a way for client to uses only servers? like remote desktop kind of?
08:47
*server's resources i mean
08:49
<alkisg>
!remoteapps
08:49
<ltspbot>
Error: "remoteapps" is not a valid command.
08:49
<alkisg>
See this page: https://ltsp.org/man/ltsp-remoteapps/
08:50
You can run one remoteapp or even the whole session as a remoteapp
08:55
<eu^95067101>
sorry i'm not good at this, should i change ltsp.conf on the server side and add programs into this block? [clients]
08:55
REMOTEAPPS="users-admin mate-about-me *remote programs here* "
08:57
<alkisg>
Yes, and then you run ltsp initrd
09:00
<eu^95067101>
and, "ltsp [ltsp-options] remoteapps [-r register] application ... " does this automatically ?
09:00
<alkisg>
You don't need to run that command at all, except if you want to test right now
09:01
E.g. you can open a terminal on the client and run `ltsp remoteapps firefox` and see how it goes
09:01
<eu^95067101>
Thank you for your attention good sir
09:02
i'll try

alkisg it worked, and for "ltsp remoteapps firefox" command to be executed on the client side, "firefox" should be added on the on the ltsp.conf on server side  right?
