alkisg: mornig, with epoptes tests i can see a transfer rate 193/98Mbit with my 100mbit switches, so i not have lan problem....
so my question is: can i speed up data transfer rate between server and client in some way, with some "triks" on ltsp.conf like (for exemple) LDM_DIRECTX=True or enabling local swap use or some other?
sorry, 93/98mbit ;-)

nikoh77: the new ltsp is a little bit faster than the old one, in the same ubuntu versino
But ubuntu 20.04 is heavier and slower than 18.04
LDM_DIRECTX affects thin clients; you have fat; it didn't make anything in the old ltsp for you, and it wouldn't make any difference now
I can install ltsp5 in ubuntu 20.04 for you, if you want to compare, to see if what you see is just ubuntu 20.04 being slower, or some real misconfiguration
To me, firefox starting in 30 seconds the first time, and 5 the second time, on a 100 mbps network, it seems very reasonable
alkisg: no no thanks, just a question ;-)
RCFILE_SHUTDOWN="shutdown -h 02:00" it work on new ltsp?
nikoh77: I put it as crontab
rc.local has been deprecated in the last years
alkisg: i'm trying to mount nfs share on my mac os but it give mi an privileges error...
Ah no idea about macs, I've never used macos
Happy birthday Alkis! :-D
Thank you Hyperbyte! :)
cheers from me as well!
Thank you fiesh!
Bday? So... happy bday alkisg
Thank you nikoh77!
