Heh. I asked a question about mksquashfs in https://stackoverflow.com/questions/57304278, and the mksquashfs developer answered. Maybe stackoverflow is more popular than I thought!

<highvoltage>
speaking of mksquashfs, I've been following debian bug #921146 and it's somewhat interesting
09:04
<alkisg>
" As Squashfs author and maintainer I would not recommend *anyone* to use the squashfs-tools currently packaged by Debian."
09:04* alkisg gets the popcorn and reads on...
09:04
<highvoltage>
hehe yeah
09:05
it gets better
09:05
<alkisg>
Ubuntu 18.04 still has the previous version, so I haven't seen that issue
09:05
(and I'm mostly using uncompressed VMs anyway...)
09:14
The whole point of open source is "may the best code win" ==> nice quote
09:14
OK, so, it appears that things will deescalate with both parallelism and reproducibility
09:14
<highvoltage>
yeah
09:32
<alkisg>
https://github.com/ltsp/ltsp/tree/master/ltsp/server/image ==> ready, only `ltsp-init.d` and packaging left; probably next week = beta
09:37
I think jetpipe.py will be the only code that remains from ltsp 5

hi alkisg, yesterday I tried to install pnp with kde, but ltsp packages have a lot of dependencies upon "mate" and I've no idea how to specify to avoind it and also I'm not sure will not build a "mix" chroot
16:57
even without "--install-recommends", ltsp-server-standalone brings ton of "mate" stuff, sure did not happen time ago.. a package dependency problem?
