I'm trying to change the ldm theme, but not having much luck. No matter what I try the clients still load the xubuntu theme, even when the symlink clearly points from default -> ltsp. Any thoughts?

<quinox>
maldridge: you can set the theme with lts.conf on the TFTP with the variable LDM_THEME
07:20
fe, I have:
07:20
[default]
07:20
#SCREEN_01 = startx
07:20
#SCREEN_02 = rdesktop
07:20
SCREEN_07 = ldm
07:20
#X_MODE_0 = 1024x768
07:20
LDM_DIRECTX = True
07:21
LDM_THEME = ytec
07:21
and my theme files are inside /usr/share/ldm/themes/ytec/
07:22

Can i use LTSP as remote desktop gateway. I want to host an LTSP server in a datacenter and have remote clients connect over the internet to the LTSP server. Is this possible?
10:12
<alkisg>
kevinLTSP: sure
10:13
will the remote clients boot from local media or from the ltsp server?
10:14
<kevinLTSP>
lets say the remote clients are Windows 7 laptops. They will need to login the LTSP server from anywhere with some sort of remote client like VNC or RDP.
10:15
<alkisg>
kevinLTSP: then you don't need LTSP, which is mostly about remote booting linux
10:15
You just need the remote desktop part, for which e.g. x2go can be used
10:16
You can also have ltsp in that same server, but you don't need it since you're not booting linux from a server
10:16
<kevinLTSP>
Ok so LTSP is not meant for that
10:16
<alkisg>
It is
10:16
You can have rdp, vnc, x2go and everything with ltsp
10:16
But you don't need ltsp in your use case
10:17
You only need the x2go part
10:17
<kevinLTSP>
aah
10:17
Time for me to investigate then XD
10:17
<alkisg>
E.g. if I had the windows pcs you're saying, AND also 10 netbooted linux clients, then I would have only 1 ltsp server with x2go in it
10:18
But since you only have windows clients, then just install x2go-server to some linux server and x2go-client to your windows pcs
10:19
<kevinLTSP>
Oke on last question (ive not looked into x2go yet) I have staff laptops and manager laptops. Can x2go support mutible sessions where staff and managers are sepperated?
10:21
<alkisg>
Ask in the x2go mailing list, but x2go is something like windows remote desktop, you can have as many as you like, they're always "separated"
10:21
Each user gets his own desktop
10:25
<kevinLTSP>
sweet!

<user987>
I have two amchines, both runnign Linux Mint 17.1
11:51
One of them has x11vnc and tightvncserver installer on it and epoptes-server. I have a newly generated key on it.
11:52
The second one also has x11vnc and tightvnc, but is a epoptes-client and has the server Ip and port configured in the config file and ha salso sucessfully coppied the key from the server (-c command)
11:52
When I open the epoptes on the server machine, the client is visible. I can controll it, I can reboot it, I can view its screen, but when I try to broadcast my screen on the selected client
11:53
nothing happens. I click, but there is no error message, no prompt, nothng happens on the client...
