<yopla>
hello in heavy test for client configuration it is preferable to switch to nfs. In doc they talk about an non existent file /opt/ltps/i386/ltsp/default/ltsp-client-setup
10:45
my distrib is ubuntu LTS 12.04
10:46
nbd is working ok. What to do to switch to NFS ?
10:46
thank you
10:52
<Hyperbyte>
Preferably to switch to NFS for what? Mounting the client's root filesystem over network, or users' home dirs over network?
10:53
*Preferable
10:53
<yopla>
client root file system
10:54
<Hyperbyte>
NFS preferable? Really? Why?
10:54
<yopla>
ltsp-update-image is quite long
10:54
for testing configartion and scripts
10:55
next i'll revert to nbd
10:58
<Hyperbyte>
yopla, you know the LTSP's clients' root is mounted with an overlay fs to make it readable/writable right?
10:58
Usually I just test things on a client, make it so things work... then sync my changes to the server and ltsp-update-image.
11:03
<yopla>
you're right but it seems lts-build-client is by default NFS for debian

Hi, what's up?
14:39
I have a couple of questions
14:39
1 - is there a way to include a preshared key on the ltsp image, so the clients can SSH into the server automatically?

fzabala_: put it in the chroot and rebuild the image
14:59
<Hyperbyte>
fzabala_, what are you trying to accomplish?
15:01
<fzabala_>
well, I did, but it didn't work
15:01
I was trying to sync something automatically when the PC boots
15:01
but, I ended up using nfs
15:01
the chroot is already shared, so I dumped the files on the CHROOT
15:02
and I'm rebuilding the image, to check

well, I think that's 2 separate things to consider
15:59
first, adding a script to open the browser on that page on login
15:59
and second, the development, hosting, and such of said page
16:09
<robert__>
fzabala the development, web page etc I can handle but what kind of script would I do to open a page at login?

anyone here?
19:14
I have a question about a "phantom" lxc container showing up on my Edubuntu 12.04 server....it's introducing wonkiness into my network....and I have no real idea where it came from
19:16
<fzabala_>
lxc container?
19:16
that's odd
19:22
<dtrask>
yeah....how do I keep it from starting? Any ideas? I have a container called lxcbr It has an IP address....and it's making it so any machine in the 10.0.3.x range cannot ssh or even ping the server...the lxcbr interface has an IP of 10.0.3.1 I never set anything like that up....I can't see how it got there...however...there is evidence of lxc doing something when I ran the last update on 8/12 according to dpkg.log
19:23
if I force lxcbr down (ifdown) I can then connect...however it restarts on reboot....I need to disable it...I can't see that it actually is doing anything

well, probably not just like that
20:01
but, you could move the container or something

and if no one complains
20:01
bam, gon
20:01
gone*
20:05
<vagrantc>
why leave something there that shouldn't be there?
20:07
<fzabala_>
just in case?
20:07
maybe somebody put it there by accident, or maybe it is needed for something else
20:07
and if you just delete it, you could mess up other stuff
