ltsp-update-image
17:16
<alkisg>
Guest67645: the image does not get download to the client, it reads it "sector by sector", only the parts that it needs
17:16
Don't worry about the image size
17:16
What's the output of: sudo ltsp-info
17:16
<sbalneav>

17:21
..and tell us the output, because it doesn't show up correctly if you paste it to irc

What is your clients cpu and ram?
17:24
<Guest67645>

17:25
<alkisg>
You put LTSP_FATCLIENT=False in lts.conf
17:25
<Guest67645>
one moment
17:25
<alkisg>
Do you know the client CPU? And how much RAM they have?
17:26
<Guest67645>
CPU 1 core. ram 512 Mb
17:26
<alkisg>

17:27
How many clients? And what is the server CPU and RAM?
17:27
<Guest67645>

17:28
<alkisg>
You create one in /var/lib/tftpboot/ltsp/i386/lts.conf
17:28
<Guest67645>
dhcpd.conf ltsp-build-client.conf ltsp-update-image.conf ltsp-update-image.excludes
17:28
<alkisg>
And put:
17:28
[Default]

LTSP_FATCLIENT=False
17:28
LDM_DIRECTX=True

hi alkisg, trying to install in 16.04 (with kde backports and greep repos), the surprise is that ltsp-server-standalone has a gnome-session dependency, is it normal? My script got confused since it looks at /usr/share/xsessions/ to find the deskop installed
23:56
I'll use some code from ltsp project ($(dpkg -l | sed -n 's/^ii.*\<\(.*buntu-desktop\)\>.*/\1/p')) but this forces me to have that kind of packages always installed (and, strange but true, kubuntu does not install kubuntu-desktop by default, only plasma-desktop)
